Writing-Opening Sentance

The opening sentence should capture the reader’s interest. It should set the mood of the story, Introduce the situation and / or character /s

Ways of doing this: Dialogue, A Statement, Problem, Action, Description of people, Place or time, Question.
1.Dialogue.
'Dont move!''We've got you cornered Cowboy Sam.'
2.A Statment.
The boy was lying in bed tired.
3.Action.
The guard had his big stick to my head.
4.Description of People.
Her Hair Was as black as coal and she had pale skin to go with it.
5.Description of Place.
The deep dark woods creaked as we walked.
6.Description of Time.
The clock stroke midnight and the darkness overwhelmed the light.
7.Problem.
We were stuck in the bathroom and i needed to go toilet!
8.Question.
'Hey boss what are we going to do?'I dont know...
